I have a gay question for the owners of the DS hits Pokemon Diamond and Pearl... *AHACKEM DRAGONSERP*

Which one is better? I am planning to get one in time to immerse myself in pokeman goodness and trade and battle and steal... em... I heard that everyone has diamond, so pearl is the best bet. The internet is leaning towards pearl too. What are the main differences between the two?
