I just read someone's dictation of a dream they had in my friends page just now, and due to the Amp I’m on, it inspired me to talk about the dream I had last night.

But alas, I can't remember my dreams. Not at all. Well, not the recent ones at least. My memory is shot to hell, and I didn't even get to enjoy the use of Mary Jane or Acid or anything to cause its absence. My doctor says it might be due to Anxiety, so we will have to see what I can swallow to fix it next month.

While on the subject of dreams, the ones I can remember stick out only because they were horrifying. Photo bucket is down right now, which is just my luck because I was about to use this time to create iron-ons from he various pictures I have taken, but I’ll still use this time to list what dreams I can remember if only for my amusement, and hopefully anyone else.

I think i might need an LJ cut for this one...

1. The Hungry Horror Boss

When I was in grade school, I remember having this one dream, that for the life of me I cannot know what possible influenced it specifically, but I know it had to be video game related somehow, which was odd considering I had none that could have made me this physically sick. I remember being in first person, Duke Nukem style, witnessing this scientist creature with shaggy brown hair and a lab coat attack this guy… He had a syringe and injected his victim with it, and upon doing so bit off his finger and attempted to eat it. The injection caused the victim’s organs and muscles to liquefy and this Scientist managed to suck his juices out of his body through his finger like a straw. I could feel every part of it. Once completely drained, he picked up the remains of bones draped in skin like a b giant tortilla, and began chewing it whole. After this wonderful cinematic was done, he turned to my first person character, and proceeded to attack. I swear, I even had a status bar HUD. He jumped on me with full force and attempted to stab me with his syringes- And then I woke up. The next day we had a field trip to Channel 10 news, and the entire time I felt traumatized. My mind would flash to the nightmare, and I had to fight the urge to vomit. I never had something like this happen to me before, or since.

2. A Disney Nightmare

Grade school again. We all grew up on Disney. I remember Mom reading me the Golden books with Disney movies summarized in 10 pages… Specifically the Golden book depicting the tale of Sleeping Beauty, and the page where the prince thrusts his sword into the Dragon Maleficent, spilling her blood onto the corner of the page. This is where I believe this dream had come from- because as a child, I had never heard of blood being depicted in a book before, and it fascinated me. Going to sleep with jumbled thoughts of various Disney stories made a cross-over that kingdom hearts would not tackle. Basically, it starred Alice, and she was trying to get into the Disney castle, and the only way to do this was to hitch a ride on raft that was barreling down the moat into the castle. Here, Alice had to dodge and fight various projectiles that Maleficent had thrown at her. Alice was here to kill Maleficent (sounds good, I know) .At some point, Alice reached the very high chamber where she resided, and Alice was armed with this weapon that looked like a corkscrew, but instead of a screw there was  a brown and orange thorn. She rose closer to Maleficent, but alas could not strike her, and instead brought the thorn to herself. Here, it cuts to Alice, hypnotized and having her hair brushed by Mal, and slowly having her hair pulled back revealing her neck. Mal bites an unflinching Alice, turns to the camera and says something to the effect of “Blood never being so sweet…” How dramatic. There might have been some Vampire Hunter D influences in this dream too.

3. The Night Terrors

Nigh terrors, and the people who suffer them, can be few and far between. I had them as a child. Night terrors are the equivalent of having a nightmare combined with a seizure, where as in a nightmare you would be asleep in bed, Night terrors can exist while the person appears wide awake, and walking around, and are often not remembered at all- or in my case, remembered for only a few seconds before I am woken up. One Night Terror I actually remember was when I was in the house of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help- a private Christian school for children and parents who feel like making a brief educational mistake for a few months by immersing themselves in a brand new curriculum and environment that might be considered overwhelming to someone just leaving a mediocre public school. I remember that my English homework at this particular night was burdening me, and despite trying my hardest I was unable to finish it. This most likely followed with my mother screaming at me, and leaving me to cry myself to sleep. I remember walking in the middle of the night, crying worse than ever because I had “A few more lines of crying to do before I could go to sleep.” I was hallucinating that my tears were homework, and that the more I cried the faster the words would write them, and only after a few books of crying later I could go to bed. I was in the fourth grade.

There have been other instances when I had Night Terrors and I remembered them… Something about moving in fast forward, not being able to control the speed or velocity of my thoughts or my fingers, having my hands warp and crinkle and fingers change shape and feeling the sensation of touching everything at once… One in particular nightmare/night terror had these elements but placed in what was like a cartoon bowling alley, where the pins and balls came alive and were crashing against each other violently.

My mother has told me that some of the common things I would say when having a night terror was that ‘They’ were going to get me. I know I can remember that I was seeing things and being someplace else, or perhaps being someone else, but I can’t remember who or what or where these things and places were or looked like. I haven’t had a night terror in years, not since I attempted suicide by overdosed on Strateria in high school- Then I wasn’t asleep but I was hallucinating like I was in the midst of one of my episodes.

I’d hate to think that they could come back, but they might if I’m not careful.

But on a happy note, I remember once having the flight dream. I flew around my daycare center when I was 6 or 7, and met up with all my friends there in dream land. After I woke up, I still had the sensation that I could fly, and even attempted it… but it didn’t get me far. I had a similar dream I had around this same time as this one. I was in a white tuxedo in a gazebo altar with giant marble pillars with flowing white drapes swooning in the wind, where there in the center of the altar lay my girlfriend( lol, I know right), either asleep or dead or something in a white flowing gown. From here, I lifted her body high into the air with my mind in a attempt to revive her, but she only rose to the heavens and then gently back down, gliding like a feather. I can’t remember what happened next, but I imagine it was something good.
